Good Evening, My name is Lucas Bratton, currently a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. I am in the Architectural Engineering program here at NC A&T university. I have served in the Marine Corps and am currently applying for an instructor position as an Officer in the Navy teaching Physics, Calculus an Nuclear reactions in Charleston, SC. I am twenty-seven years old, born in November, roughly 155lbs. in shape, I run, lift weights and still wear the military hair style. I am sure you get emails like this a lot, this is the first time I have emailed someone to ask them anything like this. I saw your hair care commercial and googled you. I would like a chance to get to know you. I am just a family guy, fun and always outgoing. You seem to be what I am looking for. I believe I would enjoy your company as you would enjoy mine. This email may get tossed in the trash, if it does then I can't help it, I had to give it a chance. I hope to hear back from you.

Sincerely,

Lucas Bratton

Hi Maria,

I hope this message reaches you....
I too am born/raised in Medford, MHS Class of 81'....Go Mustangs!!
I am also Greek....Peter Petras...wow!!

Anyway, I really am enjoying your success...very down to earth !
The reason why I am contacting you is that I am involved with an organization
called www.brighterplanet.com

We have teamed with BofA to market a credit card that contributes Carbon Offsets
as "rewards"....think of the Carbon Offsets as their version "Frequent Flyer" miles.
The more the person uses the card, the more Carbon Offsets they generate and donate...

Anyway, we are looking for a spokesperson or endorsement and what better match than
you!!! I think once you learn more (you can go to the site) you will really get a feel
for the potential!!

So I am trying to use my "Meffa" pull if any to see if you would be interested...?
Please let me know and good luck

Diabetes, help us find a cure

Dearest Maria,

I am with the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute, we our having our one and only fundraiser, “Taste of the Vine” this October 5, 2008 here in beautiful Santa Barbara. We would love it if you would be our celebrity chairwoman. You encompass such diversity, charm, talent and you have fist hand knowledge on how it is to live day to day with diabetes.

Since we were founded by William D. Sansum, M.D., the first American physician to administer life-saving insulin to people with diabetes in 1922, It has been our mission for 65 years .SDRI has made tremendous progress in many critical research areas. This progress has been possiblebecause of the generous support of our donors. I would like share with the exciting news of our current projects at Sansum Diabetes Research

Institute:

RESEARCH UPDATE
Pregnancy and Diabetes: A Model for a Cure?

Pregnancy offers a unique opportunity to study type 1 diabetes and to pursue an avenue of medical
research towards a cure for type 1 diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, patients become insulin-dependent and the most common management of the disease is the injection of artificial insulin up to 8 times a day, plus constant blood sugar testing, for a lifetime However, SDRI has observed the phenomenon in normal pregnancy where the immune system is moderately suppressed and maternal blood insulin levels increase to accommodate the needs of the fetus. These two effects of pregnancy act to counter the twin effects of type 1 diabetes: the aberrant autoimmune response and decreased insulin production. From a clinical perspective, pregnancy may therefore be a model both for developing immuno-suppression protocols for type 1 diabetes, and for developing protocols to increase insulin production and even regenerate pancreatic islet cells.

New Insulin Therapies for the Growing Numbers of People with Type 2 Diabetes
The world keeps turning, and the tide of diabetes keeps surging. Since our last research update, it is estimated that millions more people worldwide have developed diabetes or have suffered the ravages of thedisease. We have successfully completed much of the research that will make treatment easier for people with diabetes.

Specifically, inhaled insulins are finally here. Although still housed in a large inhaler and still a bit complicated to administer, the market has opened up for pharmaceutical companies to quickly test and bring to our community small, easier and even safer forms of insulin delivery. At SDRI we are actively applying these technologies and developments to the needs of people with diabetes.Since this form of insulin delivery means that patients do not have to use a needle to inject the insulin, inhaled insulin is a means to introduce insulin therapy earlier in people with type 2 diabetes whoneed more than simple pill therapy. But pill therapy too is improving with the discovery of new peptides andhormones that regulate appetite and satiety. SDRI is in the forefront of clinical research that proves many drugs can be safe and effective.

SDRI Receives Grant for an Artificial Pancreas
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) announced that it is supporting SDRI and other leading researchers around the world to participate in the Artificial Pancreas Project, which will assess new diabetes technologies and help accelerate their availability for patients. A consortium of researchers aims to speed the development of a closed-loop system (or artificial pancreas). This mechanical system will integrate a real-time glucose sensor and an insulin delivery system. The technology will enable a person with diabetes to maintain normal glucose levels by automatically providing the right amount of insulin at the right time, just as the pancreas does in people without the disease.

Studies will include children, as well as adults with type 1 diabetes. While the initial research will take place in clinical settings, the goal of the initiative is to eventually test artificial pancreas systems in everyday life settings, such as home or school.

In these fields of investigation that we have mentioned, as well as others, we hope to overcome the challenges that scientists in diabetes research have had for some time. However, SDRI needs your financial help to continue these important projects. If we work together, we will indeed find a cure, and new hope, for people with diabetes.

Please let me know if you can play a role in our quest for a cure.

Respectfully,

Stephanie N. Torres

I'm a huge fan. u were so good in "Kickin It Old Skool"

(5.10.08)

Hi Maria,
My wife gave me the Guideposts mag with your article about you, your family and your father who has diabetes. I am a dentist who works with persons with diabetes, as they have special dental needs. If they have gum disease, even just bleeding gums, it can raise their blood glucose levels as well as other health marker levels (Hb1Ac, hsCRP, lipid levels). Your regard for your dad and family compelled me to send this to you - thought that you might want to cover this base, as it is a rare MD who understands this connection. In fact, one of the goals of our Dentistry for Diabetics program is to teach our medical colleagues about the importance of the relationship between oral health and diabetes. If you are interested in me assisting you in directing your dad to a DFD colleague in his area, I would be happy to do so.
Great article - keep up the good work!

Greetings,

I am a huge fan of Maria Menounos and consider her to be a role model. I am currently attending classes at North Shore Community College in Lynn, MA and aspire to have a career in journalism. My ambition is to be involved in the entertainment industry, just like Maria. She is such a pretty woman and has the smarts to back up her beauty. It is so strange how much we have in common. We are both Massachusetts natives, have an interest in journalism, and are beautiful on the outside and inside. It would be my pleasure to meet Maria Menounos someday and talk with her.

Best Regards,

Zach Carey

Dear Ms. Menounos I understand that your dog Noel has an autoimmune disease that has attacked her bones and rendered her a quadriplegic. I am a librarian in Lynchburg, Virginia and one of my library patrons saw you and Noel on TV and would like more information on Noel's disease. I have searched the Internet and can't find anything more specific than autoimmune disease. If you can give me more details on Noel's condition, I will pass them on to my patron. From the description and picture, I think Noel is lucky that you rescued her. Best wishes to both of you.

Hello Maria how are you doing? (Marigho in Greek) That is my sisters name!! You don't know me but i thought i would introduce myself. Hi my name is John Augustus and need some direction...A couple of questions about making it in the music and acting industry. Like so many Greeks, I am an aspiring musician and actor, but live in Dallas, Texas (probably should move to LA). I have numerous songs i have written, performed and produced. I speak, read write and understand Greek. I play guitar, violin, viola, sing, keyboard and produce my own songs. I am very proud and loud of being greek as you are, and I love my Feta Cheese and olive oil. Oh yeah, I love to party all night, Greek dance, and i dont think anyone can out Greek dance me. Spartan style...Just kidding..My parents are from Zakinthos, Greece but originally from Crete on my moms side and Zakitnhos on dads side. Okay, enough about my Greek heritage as I am rambling. I am not sure how to get a "foot in the door" so to speak, in the music and acting business. I know it is hard work but I just want to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

First, here is my myspace website and my American Idol Underground website:

myspace.com/johnnyaugustus

Link: J.Y.A.'s Profile

Heres an example of my poetry/song writing: If the stars had ears,

they would hear my fears,
that have rung out through the years,
as I look into your eyes so dear,
it makes me feel close and near.

Nothing but a kiss of love,
that rings out into my soul,
it shakes me and wakes me,
until i look upon a star of gold.

the star shines so bright,
and comforts me at night,
with its never ending light,
it is a beautiful sight.

It makes me feel comfort,
it makes me feel worth,
in you I trust my Lord,
and in your word I listen,
and it reveals truth and just!

You have blessed me with gifts,
you have blessed me with kisses,
from an Angel named Angie,
her and I fulfill all the Lord's wishes!

now I lay my head to rest,
and put my soul in your star to bless,
thinking about us and the Lord,
the two things that are best!

Thank you Lord,
you are our King,
you are the worlds faith,
you gave your only son,
for us to enter your kingdom!

With this I know,
that your stars have ears

I won a chance to be part of a SONY BMI party as my song hit top 50 at number 21 in August 2007, but being the laid back person I was, I didn't attend as i was in Dallas and the party was in LA. Exipnos (smart)... :( So, I missed my opportunity to smooz with some cool music producing companies...Ooops!!

Please check my profile and a couple of songs i have out there. i am mainly rock and roll, rap, soul, pop, and a mixture of everything. Of course, I am Greek and I love to create and mix, match sounds and songs with my lyrics. I know all Greeks are proud, so I am asking you as a fellow Greek if you could point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful and offer you some kalamata olives and a goat at Easter for your services. Yes, my dad has a goat farm in Dallas on 10 acres on a contryside and a beautiful villa home in Greece LIKE ALL GREEKS!! My brother Danny and I actually raised two orphan goats from babies and fed them from a bottle. I wanted to write a short film documentary on this subject, and am working on this now. We were like mothers to these baby goats...Now they see us and yell out BAAAA!!! and run to us like were there mother. Don't know how, but they do. :) So, If you could suggest what i need to do in order to get noticed or out there more, please let me know. I really appreciate you responding to my Greeked out A55, just kidding. Take care and talk soon!! Filakia!!

First off I would like to say that you are  such a great tv host on "Entertainment Tonight". You have such a charm and charisma, not to mention a beautiful smile, and I really enjoy watching you.

Just a quick background on me. I am born and raised in Andover, Ma til 2004 where I moved to New York City. I am currently working for the State Government and while it's gratifying, I am still having the itch to pursue my dream of trying to become a tv host.

I really look up to you because well, we are from the same state, Go Red Sox!, and I see you as role model.

I have been struggling with making the jump into the entertainment field only because I really don't know where to start.  I probably will have to go back to school and go into broadcast journalism. I am willing to take the necessary steps and put in the effort because I am highly motivated.

I was hoping that you could provide me some advice and perhaps try to help me organize my course of action.

And Again thank you for your time Maria. I hope that I can get some feedback : ). And GO SOX!!!!

Sincerely,

David An

My name is Adamantia Tzovanis. I live In Montreal, Canada.  I am of Greek decent and was devastated to see the fires that occured in Greece this past August.  I have come up with a fund raising silicone band please see attached to raise money for the residents who lost their homes and treasures. All proceeds will given to the RED CROSS.

To insure that there will no misuse of funds I have enclosed on the inside of the bracelet an ID number for authentication purposes. I have started this campaign on a small scale here in Montreal and am hoping that you can help me promote this project on a larger prospective.

My goal is to unify all "GREEKS" and all those who want to help around the world for this very important cause and the bracelet is to symbolize that unity. Please let me know if this is something that may interest you.

Hey Maria!

How are you? I'd like to write you this e-mail in greeklish, because you are Hellenas and you speak fluently hellenics, but ...
Anyway, I am Alexandros from Volos (Hellas) and I honestly admire you. I am student of the department History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology in university of Thessaly.
I couldn't expect that there was a way to get in contact with you. Even now, I can't believe it... haha
I should confess that your external natural beauty appeals me. But your nice character made me admire you; your rare simplicity and altruism!
I don't know if you answer to my mail. However, I would be really grateful and happy if I was reading your response.
Ending, I would like to write down that I am so proud of you!! It's so amazing seeing an Hellena to be so famous in abroad, but it's more amazing seeing a famous Hellena in abroad to be decent!! And you, Maria, are a fairly distinguished and decent Hellenas lady!
What do you get used to doing in your leisure time? What kind of music do you like listening?
Thank you very much for being yourself...
I am looking forward to receiving your response.

With true respect and sincere,
Alexandros

P.S. Sorry for my bad English...

Dear Maria,

The circumference of a circle is measured by the
radius x ½, that is if I am not mistaken. Although, in
no way, shape, or form, do I understand the
complexities of what makes an object perfectly
circular, or the earth round. Yet, if there is one
thing I am certain of it's that: youthfulness is in
your eyes and an essence so subtle it is like the
perfectness of your complexion; “essence,” a literary
term that tends to have no real meaning tangible to
most, but is very beautiful none the less. Especially,
to stand in your company would be a notion of
perfection to a degree. Although, some may pervert
this by all course of reason, seeing you as simply a
statuette of femininity, that the masculine form wants
to collide with and conquer.  I am different,
 however... For whatever it's worth!

 Sincerely,

 Blair C. Neudorf

Dear Maria: I am currently a college student who aspires to be an Entertainment Reporter/correspondent. I wanted to get some advise as to how I should approach this profession. I have heard that landing internships is very helpful, but I feel in the end I may need more than just some internships behind me. Is it usually required that you have an agent? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I was just wondering if you could return some more information about being an entertainment reporter.  I know your job isn't easy but I'm very dedicated to becoming and entertainment reporter.

Hi Maria, I'm George Lambrou and I live in a small city in Greece. I wanna tell you a story. I really don't like the Eurovision Contest because I believe that there's no reason to exist. I believe that because it's full of pop songs and I don't like that kind of music. I listen to rock and metal. When I heard that the hosts of <<our>> Eurovision will be you and Sakis I had a question: Who is that famous Maria Menounos from Greece. I searched in the Net for your site, for photos of you and for more info about you and your life. When I saw at first your face and then your body I stayed with my mouth open. It was the 1st time in my life that I saw a so beautiful woman!!! Since that day I am the biggest fan of yours! All the memory of my mobile phone is full of your pictures. The same my computer memory!! My dream is someday to meet you .I know that it is impossible, but it's my dream. The dream and the target of my life and I'm gonna do everything I can to make that dream reality!! I'm 16 years old and I live in Preveza. It could be a very happy surprise to my if you answer me.

With love and many kisses from Greece, Preveza an of course from me,

Hello Maria, How are you? I just wanted to say I enjoy watching you on Access Hollywood. You have awesome investigative abilities. At times, you can be simple and at other times, very professional. You have a kindness about you as well as possessing terrible insight. And, of course you are pretty and attractive. How do you like Hollywood?

Dear Maria - I just read you article "Will My Father Die" in the February 2006 issue of Glamour and it brought tears to my eyes - I wonder how many others have had to deal with the same thing.

My dad was also a childhood, insulin dependent diabetic from the time he was nine years old until his death at age 70, two and a half years ago. I too remember being woken up in the middle of the night by my dad screaming and howling while my mother or brother asked me to help hold my dad down as they tried to get orange juice and sugar into him. I couldn't - I was scared that he would die.  As the years went on the stories about him going into shock became a family joke - the time he drove down the street and hit every garbage can along the way, the times he returned home without his car because he couldn't remember where it was parked - watching him try to eat with the handle of a utensil - not knowing who we were or where he was, the howling when he went into shock in the middle of the night - and on and on and on. The fights between him and my mother were legenday - as she begged him to eat, to check his blood sugar - to slow down (he too worked two jobs).  The problems were endless, and while life was not easy for my mom, she stuck with him, scared to leave him alone overnight - because he wouldn't take care of himself - they were inseparable for over 45 years.

When I left home for college, everything appeared to be fine - little did I know that my dad was frequently  in and out of the hosptial. If it wasn't for my brother I never would have known.  While I begged my mom to tell me what was going on, she knew I couldn't deal with it emotionally.  It wasn't until years later when I moved to California that the phone calls started, "Come home, daddy is in the hospital," and I did - every time. There were no vacations for me - my vacation time was spent going from coast-to-coast to see my dad and be ther for my mother.  Thank God they could afford it. It seemed like every few months something else happened. I dreaded answering the phone.

Dear Maria:

I am a school teacher at Franklin Elementary. Last Sunday evening, I adopted a dog named Mikey. I was handed his leash, and was asked for a check for $250.00. I was told that you had originally found him on the "loose" and had taken care of his eye and had placed him at K-9.

The woman I did the transaction with is Cate Koetter of used pets. She told me to contact K-9 for the records of the dog.

I am getting the runaround! I don't care if he is older than they said, but I do prefer that I am not given "deceptive" information. I found out from K-9 that they are not able to access the dog's records. I also found out that they didn't pay for his training. It was gratis!

Ms. Koetter is acting very strange now that I have confronted her with these facts. I am sorry to have to bother you with this.

The dog is being treated EXTREMELY well by myself. I share a comfortable home in West Los Angeles with a friend who is retired. We walk him. We play with him. We let him out in the back by the pool. We feed him organic food.

I had to put down an uncannily similar pooch (2) years ago. He was a very similar mix of poodle and terrier, but smaller. It was agony having to say good-bye.

I only wish to find out as much as I can about this dog. Please let me know if you can be of any help. He is so sweet and affectionate and every day he seems more secure and happy here.

All my best--

P.S. I am an East Coast transplant and prefer being direct!

You are practically perfect in every way; You're obviously physically attractive but, you always keep glamour. Even when you dress casual, you look perfect. My favorite feature is your face. When you appear on screen, it's angelic and hypnotic. And your smart, funny and sympathetic to those in need. I hope you do anything possible to get a permanent character on primetime television. I was disappointed that your character couldn't somehow stay as a permanent fixture on "Without a Trace." I know it is more complicated than all that but, that would have made the show a part of my must watch list. Now I've gone back to ER. I'm the only 19 years old I know who loves drama TV shows like: Law & Order, Cold Case etc. You deserve to stay on the screen as long as possible, as often as possible.

Hopelessly in love,

Dear Maria,
My name is Terry, I am the proud parent of Joelle Martin. I am writing, as you and her used to meet at Dunkin Donuts when you worked there, a long time ago. You always spoke honestly with her and encouraged her dreams. Joelle was also a student of the best teacher, Mrs.Macroconis of Somerville. I just wanted to tell you, that your impression on Joelle was so incredible! She really listened to you, she is now 21 yrs.old student at Merrimack College. SUPER STAR of BASKETBALL , and was ALL-AMERICAN last year, and would like to play professional sometime.
I am writing just to tell you that she often thinks of you and remembers your kindness and trust, she often tells her friends what a beautiful person you are Joelle is not aware of your incredible and height of fame. If it would not be to much to ask, I was hoping somehow you could just let her know you remember her. I would love that.
Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Terry Martin
